The Stuckeman
Center for Design Computing provides students with state-of-the-art
hardware and software in facilities.
The Stuckman Endowment facilitates the broad integration
of design computing with the traditional design studio, and the
development of advanced design computing media laboratories. Design
occurs in the design studio. The computer ultimately belongs in
the studio. The design arts studio culture is experiencing a transitional
period as digital design media and other information technology
transforms the design professional into a"digital crafts (wo)
man" with specific skills and the intellectual ability to truly
become a knowledge worker. The Stuckeman Endowment will allow the
architecture and landscape architecture student to become full-fledged
members of the information age.
