After graduation I moved to Philadelphia and worked as a project director for an urban renewal project under the auspices of the Office of Housing and Community Development for four years. This was followed by eight years with the firm of John Rahenkamp & Associates. During the next ten years I was a vice president of Real Estate Development for Hansen Properties. Responsibilities included the design, management and implementation of many real estate developments.

Utilizing the experiences gained from the private and public sectors, I teamed with Richard Collier a land planner to form Land Concepts . Over the past 6 years we have provided a wide variety of planning and design services ranging from detailed planting plans for the restoration of a garden designed by the Olmstead brothers, to campus master plans, community open space studies, trail plans, golf course communities, zoning ordinances, and expert testimony.

I was actively involved with the ASLA, chairing three annual meetings for the PA/DE Chapter, chair of the Eastern Section, Vice President of the Chapter, and chair of two national committees.
