award. SALA Council established the following
criteria: Students
must be entering their second year of graduate study. There will be a school-wide competition in which students will
apply for the fellowship by submitting their thesis/final project
proposals by the end of the spring semester. In addition to these
proposals, students will be judged on the promise they show academic
excellence by submitting their grades to date.
(The total available to SALA is $5000 which is being split
between Architecture and Landscape Architecture).

of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. An annual design competition is held in the spring, and is
open to all students in architecture and landscape architecture
in the third year. The
design teams consist of one architecture and one landscape architecture
student.

Basis of Financial Need

The Paternos’ established this and the only criterion is financial
need. School committee
established criteria of entering third year and above, and any other
criteria our dept. wants to apply. (The total available to SALA is $7500 which is being split
according to the relative percentage of 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th year students in the two departments.
This year we have 45% of the students in those years and
therefore $3,375 to distribute to students in landscape architecture).
