LArch 414 - Design and Theory V: Advanced Landscape Architectural Design
(5 Credits)
Review of landscape architectural theories and issues; supports development of comprehensive design study and/or independent honors (Thesis-Based) design projects.
Landscape architecture majors only. Prerequisites: LArch 312, 322.
LArch 424 - Design Theory Seminar
(1 to 3 per semester credits)
Inquiry-based reading and discussion of design theory literature relevant to the focus and content of the associated design studio course, LArch 414. Landscape architecture majors only. Prerequisites: LArch 312, 322.
LArch 460W - Historic Issues in Landscape Architecture (Credits: 3; Lecture hrs: 3; Studio hrs: 0) In-depth historic study of a place (city or region) to make students aware of history as an active pursuit which can inform and vitalize the design process. Reading (of documents and landscape), research, and writing are key activities of the course. Landscape architecture majors only. Prerequisite: LArch 60. Concurrent: LArch 445, 445A.

LArch 499D - International Special Topics (4 Credits) Special topics related to, and study in conjunction with, LArch 499A, 499B, and 499C.
